How to maintain the ceramic coating?

We at Motorglaze recommend to use clean microfiber cloth for washing the car and if possible use products which are ceramic and paint friendly. If you have hard water problem in your area, it is recommended to wash your car at a nearby Motorglaze store atleast once a month.

How does your product/service work?

Depending upon the coating selected we have maintenance warranty is there ranging from 1-7 years according to the service selected. But maintaining ceramic coatings and graphene coating starts from home. Ensuring using top notch products is the first step for longer shine and more protection

What if some part is damaged?

If something is damaged, like a panel was impacted badly, then only option is to dent it, paint it and come after 6 months to make sure we can re-apply the coating (damages are not included in the warranty). The charges will be nominal as it is only 1-2 panels. For minor scratches the coating is capable of self healing it is recommended to pour hot water close to 50-70 degrees to ensure the self-healing is activated. Exposing to direct sunlight might sometimes be helpful as well

What does self-healing property mean?

Self healing property means that is the coating breaks from an area, or there are abrasions which have damaged the coating but not removed it from place, the chemical has the property to treat itself back and ensure a smoother service. It generally works under hot water and direct sunlight.

What do we do in maintenance coat?

To explain in a common man's language. Once the ceramic is coated and the car is repeatedly exposed to dirt, oil, hard water, UV. There are reactions on the surface which may in turn dull the surface finish. In maintenance phase the main focus is on removal of these and ensure the underlying coating is intact. We add additional protection known as a maintenance coat which enhances the shine and further prevents this buildup.
